Bridal Files: Maang Tikka

8:04 PM

Mang tikka is a traditional piece of jewellery, which is essentially worn by indian brides as it is a part of the Solah Shringar. It is a must for every Indian bride to wear this piece of jewellery, but I have seen some brides take a modern route and avoid it, but trust me I have found  the bridal charm from such brides missing. TMaang tikka alon with a nose ring is what sets apart a bride from the rest of the blingy guests . If you are avoiding it for the reception or smal;ler functions it is fine. But my advice to all brides to be is do NOT skip this piece atleast for the wedding ceremony. This may be your only chance to wear this traditional piece of jewellery as you enter a new chapter of your life..
The most common way to wear the Maang Tikka is in the parting of the hair (maang) ad the tikka (the pendant) rests between eyebrows. But it can be worn in many other ways too.
